1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Price Savvy (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Price Savvy is an informational price comparison tool that aggregates grocery prices from retail stores in Trinidad & Tobago. The Service is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use only. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any retailer whose prices appear on the platform.

3. Service availability

Price Savvy is a live service available to the public at no charge. The platform is in active development — features may change, and you may occasionally encounter incomplete data or brief service interruptions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.

4. Price accuracy

Prices displayed are collected from retailer sources and may not reflect current in-store prices. Always verify prices at the store before purchasing. Price Savvy makes no warranty regarding the accuracy or timeliness of any price information.

5. User accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.
You may not use another person's account without authorisation.
You must be at least 16 years of age to register.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest data from Price Savvy without prior written consent.
Access the Price Savvy database or APIs directly, except through the official web interface.
Build any competing product or dataset using data obtained from this platform.
Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
Submit false or misleading price reports.
Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service.

7. Community price spotting

By submitting a community-spotted price, you confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and was observed from a legitimate retailer source. Price Savvy may remove or moderate any submission at any time. Repeated inaccurate submissions may result in account suspension.

8. Intellectual property

The Price Savvy name, logo, software, and original content are the property of Price Savvy. Retailer names, product names, and prices are the property of their respective owners. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution of Price Savvy content is prohibited.

9. Privacy

We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service, including account information and anonymised usage data. We do not sell your personal data. You may contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Price Savvy shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on price information that proves inaccurate or any service interruptions.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
